Having designed for Prada, Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga, Brazilian-born Isa Kauffman puts process at the same level as form with her accessories label Dentro. The France-based atelier places the marks of craftsmanship at the exterior of each piece, with exposed seams and runaway threads that reveal the artisanal labour in what the brand calls "a documentary view of craftsmanship”. Meaning ‘inside’ in Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish alike, Dentro inverts the natural order of leather goods; exposing what’s supposed to be hidden while the polished interior remains to be discovered, exalting all parts to aesthetic relevance.
