Earlier this year, LN-CC approached The Modern House to collaborate on a series of editorial shoots that united our like-minded disruptive worlds. Beyond selling Britain's finest modern and contemporary architecture, the self-described “accidental estate agents” have redefined the art of selling homes, cultivated architecture Insta obsessions and established itself as one of our – and no doubt yours too – go-to design brands. The collaborative idea was simple: place LN-CC’s exciting edit of new season luxury fashion inside some of The Modern House’s most suitable listings. As soon as The Modern House team shared the preview of the Invisible House, the collaboration had found its temporary home. And what a home. “This extraordinary contemporary house in Warwickshire was conceived and designed by the current owner, Steve Smith, who worked alongside BPN Architects to explore reflection as an organising principle,” the listing reads. Set on a secluded plot, surrounded by nature and wrapped in smoked mirrored glass panels, the sensory-stirring property provides an otherworldly reason to dress up. Who lives in a house like this? Outlook is a vehicle for LN-CC to showcase direction of a season, a mood. AW22, we teamed up with The Modern House in a partnership that is a true meeting of minds. We were approached by LN-CC about collaborating and it immediately made sense to us. Both brands have a reputation for being disruptors, and innovators in their industry who place storytelling and content at the heart of the customer experience.

We spoke about doing the shoot in one of our listings- which is always hard for a number of different reasons! But another thing that immediately made sense to me was Invisible House for this project. As soon as I saw it there was a lightbulb of a moment of, "this would be perfect for the LN-CC collab!". It's such an amazing space and there really is nothing like it.

What excited us about LN-CC doing a shoot there was how they would respond to the design and use it in a way to tell a story. The images show how space can take on different feelings or atmospheres depending on how they are used, what time of day it is, and how they are lit. Obviously, we also shot it for the sales listings, so it's been fascinating to see how someone else approaches the same house with completely different perspective

Within the Invisible House’s highly conceptual, unconventional, and ambitious design, each pavilion-designed room gives the illusion that they are floating, while the smoked mirrors reflect the surrounding environment to further blur the boundary between the building and landscape. Similarly, the best of autumn/winter 22 fashion delights in the dualities of fantasy and reality, revealed and hidden, every day and the elevated, the familiar and the otherworldly, so the Invisible House was the perfect setting. As LN-CC showcases its core DNA and highlights the key autumn/winter 22 trends of layering, cargos, fake fur, and balaclavas, the Invisible House playfully reflects and refracts, reveals, and shields.

The Modern House has always been a go-to for interior inspiration. The way they have turned a selling platform into a destination that becomes more about buying into a lifestyle and not just bricks and mortar is very relevant to what we do at LN-CC with clothing.

When The Modern House sent us the particulars of The Invisible House we were instantly drawn to its highly conceptual and ambitious design. It looked about as far from a conventional house as possible and we knew it would be the perfect location for us for a unique shoot.

The mirrors and glasses and poly-shapes throughout gave us the perfect opportunity to make the location look otherwordly. It was important to us that spaces we collaborate with The Modern House on are spaces we collaborate with, The Modern House on are spaces we can image LN-CC customers living and the Invisible House is just that.
