REJUVENATING THE EVERYDAY

Reshaped, recut and reimagined, Matthieu Blazy's endless pursuit of ideas of movement and journeying continues through the spirit of rebirth for the collection of Pre-Fall 24. With a mission to redefine the everyday wardrobe, the latest instalment delivers undertones of reflection and strength whilst embodying a sense of essentialism in a new beginning.

Through the lens of photographer Luke Fullalove, the LN-CC in-house creative team takes inspiration from the saturated background of the catwalk show and artfully depicts the colours of the scorched landscape through accent lighting.

Craftmanship (as always) is a driving force behind any Bottega Veneta instalment. Refined silhouettes, sharp-shouldered tailoring, engineered knits, wicked details, and, of course, thought-provoking colour plays lace the collection. The warm but charred palette harmonises the styles and further invigorates the concept of 'everyday wear' rather than for everyday use. The quietly confident compilation is thrust further through its contemporary twists on some of the Italian house's iconic accessories.

Volume plays a pivotal role in the development of the accessories this season. With enough space to fit a laptop or all of one's most prized possessions, the roused large Andiamo handbag is delivered in bold tangerine woven leather with signature knot detail and sliding crossbody strap.

A cache of incoming accessory heroes also migrates the collection, including the notable teal Parachute shoulder bag. Inspired by the archival Parachute tote, crafted from the house's renowned Intrecciato handwoven leather, this new essential design incorporates Bottega Veneta's distinctive codes through the astute level of components.

More newbies descend onto the scene, including the recently envisioned Loop, which arrives at LN-CC in two versatile styles. The first is a sleek crossbody silhouette featuring twin handles and a detachable strap. Through adaptable construction, this design can shapeshift into any occasion. The second is a luxurious weekend bag with a smooth strap adorned with four handmade knots rendered in sumptuous leather. The magnitude of the shape is striking and effortlessly elevates any on-the-go look.

Pushing the envelope even further was the dispatch of new season footwear. The anticipated chef-d'oeuvre, the Blink mule, signifies a method well done through its similar design to the iconic Padded mule. The presumed new spin on an old classic shows advancements through its folded crafted construction, curved toe and arched heel.

Never missing a beat, Bottega Veneta comes up with the goods for a chillier season shoe staple, the robust Haddock lace-up. Encompassing a nonchalant sophistication, the all-over fashioned Intrecciato craftsmanship and slightly exaggerated raised round toe (that would catch a puddling hem perfectly) freely exhibit the level of detail infused into each product.
