Moncler’s endless study of innovation is as infatuated with the process of creativity as it is with the product. In its latest chapter, The Art of Genius turns its storytelling lens to discovery, following curiosity as it plants its seed and births branches of inspiration that redefine the world we live in.  

From their own epicentres, Moncler and adidas Originals have radiated global change; one redefining innovation for outdoor exploration since its first mountain expedition in 1952, the other changing the shape of city sportswear since 2001. Together the two icons turn the spotlight onto the pioneer themself, enlisting artists from diverse fields to create human-esque explorers inspired by the collaborative collection.  

In The Art of Explorers, sculptures from Gary Card, Ibby Njoya and Kate Tabor, don make-up and accessories by Ismaya Ffrench, and are styled by Ai Kamoshita in a capsule that unites Moncler’s longstanding performance and utility innovation with adidas Originals’ enduring legacy as a champion of culture and creativity. Classic Moncler silhouettes in signature lacquered nylon are reimagined with adi-break panelling in a spectrum of colour that traverses luminous shades of greens, oranges and red before oscillating between concrete-grey and sky blue. The collection’s sinuous quilting, jacquards and prints simulate the patterns created by skiers on snow-covered slopes while the NMD and Campus sneakers reveal a winter makeover of augmented proportions gifted by bubble padding.  

Inspired by an explorative journey from the summit to the city, Moncler x adidas Originals explores a form and function at the intersection of outdoor mountain life and city streets. How far will the innovations ripple out?
