Chopova Lowena’s hybrid designs focus on craftsmanship seamlessly collating opposing references from Bulgarian folklore and 1980s rock climbing. Employing the use of skilled female artisans, the pieces are manipulated from deadstock fabric collected from the founders Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena’s home country, Bulgaria. Combining exaggerated silhouettes, patchwork pleats, flocked prints and embellished hardware, the instantly recognisable offering combines the silly with the beautiful.
