Pearls Before Swine

Montreal-based Pearls Before Swine was founded in 2006 by jeweller Himo Martin who was in pursuit of repurposing pearls deemed “imperfect” by the jewellery industry. Looking to nature and inspired by overlooked elements, Martin explores ways in which to bring out their concealed beauty. Wiry branches, thorns, screws, metal chains and nails are transformed into delicate rings, chokers and earrings which are fabricated from 14k yellow gold and 925 sterling silver and finished with raw oxidised treatments and unique painted touches.
