Established in 2015 with a view to craft of a wardrobe classics for contemporary women, Paris Georgia references 90’s minimalism to celebrate the female form. From the instantly recognisable monochromatic Heart Dress to the sugar pink Dex and Cocoon co-ordinating set, the Auckland-born brand is adding a new prism to the view on classic design.

Female empowerment has always been at the crux of Paris Georgia, from the women that inspire you to the women you design for, how have you honored and participated in sisterhood as the brand has grown 

Georgia: We hope to empower young women, we were so lucky to have very strong female influences in our lives and understand the impact it can have. Our team is predominantly female, and as we grow this is something we'll keep at the forefront of our business. We're so inspired by women and the energy they bring to the team.  

You’ve previously said you’d love to dress Tilda Swinton and Rihanna, what pieces from this collection would you style each of them in?  

Paris: Rihanna in the Lottie Bodice and Cowboy Trousers and we see Tilda Swinton in the Otto bodysuit!  

As well as Paris Georgia, New Zealand has given fashion the equally unstoppable Wynn Hamlyn and Entire Studios. How do you think the New Zealand perspective differs from that of other more obvious fashion destinations? 

Paris: Geographically New Zealand is so far away from any major ‘fashion’ city. I think it teaches us to be so much more resourceful when creating. We don’t have endless options at our fingertips and I think it gives us something special when designing and a unique point of view. 

Why is LN-CC the perfect home for Paris Georgia?  

Georgia: We have always been big fans of LN-CC, the buying and curation of brands is so well thought out. It’s a personal favourite of ours when it comes to shopping so the partnership feels like a very natural home for Paris Georgia.
