STORE MIX 093: KEYRAH
THE BRUMMIE SELECTA TAKES US ON A TOUR OF HER AUTUMN SOUNDSCAPE
Although currently obsessed with Mantra by Ojerime – she’s aware of the irony – DJ and producer Keyrah has several different tracks on repeat each day. Born and raised in Birmingham, the London-based music lover applies her own mantra of “different day, different track, different mood” to every mix. The crisp October morning that she visits the LN-CC studio, Butterflies by Michael Jackson is Keyrah’s earworm of the day, yet she cites the Tom Misch remix of Jordan Rake’s Midnight Mischief as a recurrent autumn favourite.
DIFFERENT DAY, DIFFERENT TRACK, DIFFERENT MOOD
Part of a rising wave of new-gen selectas who take an eclectic approach to their curations, Keyrah is known for playing pick-and-mix with a magnitude of genres, plucking from jazz, hip-hop and indie to delicately sculpt a track list destined to take you on a journey. Wait for sunset to press play on this 45-minute autumnal soundscape or follow the DJ at upcoming nights across London and Birmingham to see if she ever fulfils an ambition to incorporate Bomb Track by Rage Against the Machine into one of her sets.
