This book presents an intimate and closely observed portrait of the model Emma Sugimoto (also featured in Ema Nude in Africa) by photographer Shunji Okura. Shot in black and white, Okura’s predominantly nude photographs were part of a style of erotica that developed in Japan throughout the 1970’s, in which photographer and muse collaborated over an extended period of time to create an expanded body of work.
