STORE MIX 100 NEW GEN: LIL C 

With dancehall at the core of her DJ sets, Cesca Ivaldi, AKA, Lil C knows how to transform any party into a packed dancefloor. An advocate for showing up as your most authentic self, the professional party starter is dedicated to existing in environments which prioritise inclusivity and ensures safe spaces for womxn, LGBTQ+ & POC communities, simultaneously advocating for reclaiming space while paving the way for future DJs and music-makers. 

South London born and bred, Lil C captures the sound of the transatlantic diaspora, fusing an energetic mix of Bashment and a love of global pop music with classic R&B, Reggaeton, Afrobeats and contemporary UK rap. 

Lil C has quickly emerged as key feature of the capital's independent radio scene, kickstarting her career with Reprezent Radio before carving her niche with the widely-adored Pum Pum Power hour on NTS. Since making her Boiler Room debut in 2017, she has graced renowned stages like Red Bull’s sound system at Notting Hill Carnival, Hackney Carnival, Afropunk, Glastonbury, Lovebox, Parklife, and more. Her ascent in the nightlife and festival circuits is the result of her endless work ethic and tireless dedication. Over the years she has also provided guest mixes for national and international radio stations including BBC Radio 1, 1xtra, Kiss, Rinse France and Lot Radio. 

To celebrate LN-CC's milestone 100th Store Mix, we invited one of LN-CC's founding members, Dan Mitchell, to curate a line-up blending established DJs who've previously contributed to LN-CC's mixes and up-and-coming emerging talents. Dan spearheaded LN-CC's in-house record label and co-founded the circular design studio, Space Available. Alongside the 100th Store Mix release, LN-CC unveils two limited edition LN-CC X Space Available T-shirts and a tote bag stamped with the names of the featured DJs. 

Lil C continues to make waves because of her eclectic taste in music and her efforts to make the industry a more inclusive one. The trailblazer graces LN-CC with an exclusive set, infused with uplifting vibes and her trademark fusion of dancehall and reggaeton – a captivating blend that defines her unique style.
