Ales Grey
Industry veteran “Sneaker Steve” Patiño, created Ales Grey with the vision of disrupting the footwear space with a purposeful luxury shoe brand. The LA based label made its debut with a slip that is both recycled and recyclable, working with XL Extralight to create the first single-piece injection moulded foam slip-on clog made entirely with XL EXTRALIGHT's new recycled compound Sustainable+. A material comprised of 51 percent recycled materials through the recovery of by-products, scraps, and other production waste from factories. Designed in the states but made in Europe, Ales Grey’s hallmark Rodeo Drive Slip Ons save 8000 litres of water in comparison to the manufacturing of a pair of traditional leather shoes. The brand further reduces its environmental impact by producing all its shoes in solar powered renewable energy factories, before packaging each pair in recycled, biodegradable materials.
